Basic Rulz:
1. Third person posting.
2. Character dialog should use quotation marks "Damn Peter, you really scared the hell out of me"
3. Do not post one liners, it gives the other player nothing to work with.
4. Try to post at least 1 paragraph consisting of 8 to 10 sentences each.
5. When roleplaying in battles, remember that you are not a God so you can be harmed.
6. Auto-hitting is defined as roleplaying that you hit your opponent with an attack before they have a chance to reply or defend themselves. It is always wiser to "attempt" a strike.
7. All kills must be sanctioned by the moderator or an administrator, this includes non player characters.
8. When doing your roleplay posts, use the PAST tense (turned, stood). If you post something out of character, put it at the bottom of the post like so..
OOC: Message
9. Do not Powerplay (taking control of someone else’s character without their permission).
10. The administrators and moderators reserve the right to make all judgment calls in combat situations. When characters are fighting they will take turns posting, attacker going first. Once one person has posted an attack, they cannot post another attack, nor move their character until the opponent has posted his or her counter attack or damage infliction.
11. Each player may have several characters
(one human, one alien/Predator etc). When posting make it very clear which character is involved.
12. Story lines often require one person to declare actions/dialog for another player’s characters. Try to keep this to a minimum, if you must, Be nice. Anything you declare that another player’s character is doing or saying should be in line for how that player has developed his character. When a storyline involves several characters give the other players a chance to contribute. Don’t jump the story beyond their chance to respond.
13. You can run out of ammo, you don't have an endless amount. (GM will let you know when you are getting low and need to reload). This can be particularly dangerous if an Alien is quickly approaching your location.
14. Take it serious please, don't be a "space-SHUTTLE" kind of player
15. Players/characters shouldn't get ahead of the game play.
Example: If a player's character is close to a primary location they must come up with something to do - ie sleep, eat etc. At that time the GM will indicate that the next level and/or location has been reached, or completed.
(really only applies to RPG's that are constantly being posted on)
16. At various times throughout the RPG the GM will add more details, in the third person "story" perspective to describe the major plot points, locations, quests.
