After running for nearly a mile Sam came to the industrial side of the town that he had entered. Looking to his right he found several semi-trucks parked beside an unused, rust infected factory. Taking several glances at both the factory and the trucks, Sam contemplated his options. He was very tired from running away, but he had also just woken up, plus he needed some time to reload his weapons and compose himself. And so instead of hiding in one of the abandoned trucks Sam chose to search around the factory for some supplies. He took several minutes to rest and to reload his two handguns.

Sam hears a bang from the other side of the large room. An empty drum had just fallen off of the upper platform. Out the corner of his eye, he sees a humanoid blur retreating to the shadows. His legs were still a little sore from running, and had not completely recovered yet. a) Sam investigates the humanoid blur, risking being surrounded by a zombie hord, yet possibly finding others b) Sam exits the building, never knowing if that blur was a survivor, or even someone he could borrow supplies from If Sam picks a) He finds a recently killed human lying next to a zombie corpse with it's head sawn off on the upper platform. There is now more movement further into the shadows, and Sam investigates

Nicola inspects her 4WD. She notices it is completely fried. She decides to take the camper. She loads all of her items and weapons into the front seat, and Jack with them. Nicola runs her fingers over her handgun in her belt holster, subconsiously to remind herself it was still there. As she turns the keys, The camper roars to life. With 3/4 of a tank of petrol, she starts to drive off again. After several miles, she reaches a roadside diner. As she hops out of the camper with her rifle, and katanas on her back, she enters the diner. After searching through the diner, and securing her surroundings, she raids the kitchen. After filling her belly, she sits on an outside table, relaxing in the afternoon sun.

Something stirs in the back of the camper truck, the door opens...revealing (pick one) A zombie, who attacks your dog, biting him. He lives but for how long? (to be determined later) A young boy, with a zombie bite (how do you deal with him)

With an ever so slight limp Sam walks over to where the sound of the falling drum seemed to have originated. He discovers the body of a man still freshly chomped by the decapitated Zombie which lay next to it. At that moment he hears another strange sound coming from a far off distance, he slowly and carefully approaches the shadow engulfed back section of the factory. Jumping out from the darkness a young girl smashes into Sam, they both fall to the floor. Looking at each other they laugh, but then they draw their weapons in a flash and point them at each other, still not sure if they can trust one another.

After falling into a dreamless sleep, Samantha is awakened a few hours later by the sounds of movement. Sitting up she realizes that it must be daybreak judging by the soft light issuing from between the boards, Samantha strains her ears for anything that would identify what or who is coming her way. As the movement comes closer Samantha decides that whatever it was that was out there she would fight it. As quickly and quietly as she could Samantha makes her way to her vehicle, extracts her ammo, crossbow, and arrows. With her weapons in tow, Samantha returns to the hay loft and positions herself behind a stack of hay bales that screened her from view of the anyone on the ground but still left her line of sight clear to the door.
Samantha crouched there with rifle and crossbow locked and loaded as the minutes crept by. Then the movement was finally right outside the double barn doors and from her position Samantha could see that someone or something was pushing against them trying to open them. Apparently whatever was on the other side gave quite a push and the handle was pulled loose from the door and they swung open.
Within an instant, Samantha knew that these were humans she was dealing with and not zombies, as there movements were totally uncharacteristic of the undead. All in all five men entered the barn and made a beeline for Samantha's locked vehicle. Secretly glad she had thought to lock the doors after grabbing her weapons, Samantha called down from her position, "I suggest you leave, there is nothing here for you, but trouble".
"Oh yeah or what" said one of the men, looking up into the hay loft at least 6 feet to the left of where Samantha was hidden.
Not one to ever be intimidated, Samantha responded, "Or you'll never see the dawn and zombies will be the least of your worries."
Two of the men took a couple steps toward the ladder leading to the loft and Samantha fired two shots in quick succession. The first landed in the dirt directly in front of the men and the second right where the one of the left's foot had been a moment before. For a few seconds nobody moved or breathed. Then finally Samantha broke the silence.
"Look, I have never killed a human as of yet, but to protect what's mine and what keeps me alive I will make an exception. I won't miss the next time."
It seemed the biggest in the group intended to call Samantha's bluff and after a few whispered directions to his friends her made a sudden dash for the ladder. But Samantha was ready, she had her scope trained in the air in front of the ladder instead of the men so that no matter which of them made a move she would be able to catch them before they got to the ladder. In an instant she had pulled the trigger and the big man had fallen to the ground with a gaping hole in his neck. He gurgled for a moment and then fell still and silent.
"I didn't want to do that" Samantha called, "But I warned you all, and I repeat my warning again." It seemed the other four men were struggling with what they wanted to do, for they argued amongst themselves for a couple minutes, and then one spoke.
"Fine, we won't come up there but we are taking this here vehicle and there is nothing you can do to stop us from way up there."
"Oh, really" Samantha rebounded, "just how long do you think it will take to hot-wire it, want to risk that you can do it before I pick you all off."
"Its worth the risk" and with that the four remaining men dived for the truck. Samantha was able to pick the first one off immediately with a shot to the chest and after ejecting her cartridge was able to hit one in the thigh as he was almost to the driver's door. The last two were a little slower runners and were not yet behind cover of the vehicle so just to make her point Samantha skipped a shot across the roof of her car causing the other two to stop in their tracks. They seemed to be considering whether they wanted to risk meeting the same fate as their friends. They watched as their friend slowly bled out next to Samantha's driver's door. It seemed seeing the slow fate of their friend that they did not want any part of it and they slowly began backing away from the car and out the double doors of the barn.
Samantha watched as the backs of the two men became smaller and smaller as they crossed the pasture. Once they were well out of range, Samantha came down from the loft and stood at the entrance to the barn with her rifle ready and remained there until the shapes of the two men disappeared into the distance. Once gone Samantha quickly collects the rest of her belongings from the loft and stows them once again in the passenger seat of her vehicle.
"I gave you a chance" She said out loud to the body at her feet. Then shaking her head almost to try and erase what she had been forced to do, she stepped over the body and climbed into the driver's seat of the Jeep.
"Kill or be killed, its the new world." She said to herself as she turned the engine over and put it into reverse. Slowly she backed out of the barn and began making her way back to the main road.

'Holy shit!' Nicola exclaimed as she backed away from the zombie. Nicola draws her shiny metal katanas, and with a timely swipe, cleanly decapitated the zombie. Sliding the katanas back into the holsters, the head and body dropped to the floor. Jack was bleeding profusely from the side, where the zombie had bitten him. Fur and blood were matted against his side. 'Jack..' Nicola said sadly as she realised that he had been bitten. She stares deeply into Jacks big brown eyes as she has to make a hard decision. Kill Jack, or let him live?
Nicola thinks of all of the options. Racking her brains for anything she could do. Do zombies bites turn dogs into zombies? Nicola asked Jack. Nicola had a terrible feeling in her chest. Jack was her only friend left. She buried her face into his black fur as tears welled in her eyes. 'I don't want you to die!' Nicola sobbed into her dog's warm soft body. She could feel Jack's heart beating fast. She held him tight and close, not letting him go for five minutes. Tears rolled down Nicola's cheeks like tiny sparkelling diamonds. Finally, she let go and walked over to her vehicle, wiping her cheeks. She pulled the door open with the characteristic clunking noise, then sitting on the drivers side, legs out of the car. 'Jack!' she called out to her dog, her voice quivering. She felt a terrible sadness in the pit of her stomach, a terrible guilt for what she was about to do. As her dog bounded over, he stared at her face, big pink tongue sticking out the side of his mouth. Nicola removed her handgun from her waistbelt. Filling the gun with ammo, she grabbed Jacks muzzle and held the handgun up to his temple. Unkowing, Jack sat there patiently. Nicola cocked the gun, and her finger hovers over the trigger. Multiple times, her finger touched the cold trigger, only to shift off again. Nicola blinked deeply, and took a ldeep breathe. 'I have to do this..' she whispered to herself, her voice full of drread and sadness. I can't look Nicola thought to herself. Killing an enemy was one thing, but your only friend left? Holding her breath, Nicola looked away. BLAM
Nicola let out a scream and yell of sadness. 'Nooo!* Nicola screamed as she let go of the dog's lifeless body. Nicola screamed. Her hands were covered in blood and brain tissue. She knelt down to the ground, bawling her eyes out. She banged her fist into the ground in emotional pain. Jack was the only thing left from her old life, the only thing that reminded her of her home, her family. Her family. Were they even still alive? Stefano, her brother, her mother, her father? Dead too? Gunned down by soldiers, ripped to shreds by the zombies? Transformed into zombies? She was completely alone now. Alone in an overpopulated world. Alone in a world infested with zombies. Nicola could not describe the lonliness and isolation she felt. Digging in the dirt with her bare hands, she buried Jack in a shallow grave. Washing her katanas and herself in the large sink of the diner, she composed herself and walked back to Jack's grave. Leaving a wildflower on the plot of dirt, she returned to the camper, and headed for the South Dakota border.

Tyson Kamble is riding his bike, now slowly making his way west to Utah. For the past few days, he had been recieving extracts from what sounded like a military personel. Listening to his walkie talkie everyday, Tyson had realised it was a repeated message. From the three days he had listened to it, he had heard
"........Base........central...tah....surviv...............................................................................qui......west...protect........zombie outbreak.........."
deciding to head west to Utah was Tyson's only option. The sun was harsh on his body, and riding his bike for days on end had been taxing on him. Tyson needed to rest. Riding onwards, he kept an eye out for safe places where he could rest.

After many miles walked, Nicola begins to appreciate her gut wrenching military fitness training. She approaches a large, military like building. Hoping that there may be other survivors inside, she slowly and cautiously approaches the large metal gates that are soaring into the sky before her. 'Uh, hello?' Nicola calls out, waiting for a reply.

No one answers your calls of assistance, you must make your way around the main gate and enter the compound from around the side where the barracks stand. FOR JESSIE ONLY To your extreme disappointment you discover that most of the base has been destroyed, that there is in fact very little protection from the immense Zombie horde that is now heading toward the military base.
1. Turn around and leave and maybe survive on your own. 2. Continue on across the weed covered property toward the base.
NOTE: If you choose option 2, post next comment using spoiler tag, marked "for Zombie Killer only"

Samantha after many days and nights on foot, comes to the crest of a hill as she walks along the deserted highway. Once there she stops to catch her breath and surveys her surroundings. There at the bottom of the hill some 1/2 mile away sat a sleepy, deserted looking town. As she watched no a soul could be seem moving in the streets below. Tired and weary from her long journey and in desperate need of a rest she slowly makes her way down the hill. It was not until she approached a sign on the side of the highway that she realized that she had arrived in Eagle Crest. She slowly makes her way across the final 100 or so yards and steps onto a street lined with small shops. Walking down the middle of the street, the only noise she could hear was her boot heels on the pavement. Before long a general store comes into view. Drawing her weapon, Samantha crosses the street and peers inside the large storefront windows. Nothing seemed out of place, no evidence of any kind of zombie activity, and with her rifle at the ready she tries the main door and finds it unlocked. Entering cautiously, Samantha checks out the store including the front room and the storeroom. Satisfied that there were no zombies inside, Samantha quickly secures all the entry points and then settled herself down for a long awaited meal and rest.

FOR ZOMBIE KILLER ONLY Nicola decides to explore the base further. As she walks around the side of the base, there is a small hole in the chain link fence. Nicola throws her bag over the fence, and crawls through the small hole. Picking up her bag, she takes out her rifle, and begins to explore the building. There are many rooms in the compund, and Nicola is very cautious, carefully making sure there are no zombies in a room before she enters. She begins to realise that there is a small chance of anyone being here, and begins to head for the exit.
